welcome to

Welcome to the East Riding RGT website. We hope you enjoy reading some of our latest news and finding out what's on in the future. We have had a very successful time since our launch and have homed many greyhounds [some past middle-age ] and all have settled into their new lives very well and some are enjoying better social lives than us! We receive lots of fantastic pictures of the greyhounds in their new homes, at shows and on holiday. We love to see them all having exciting lives with lots of new adventures.

                                             Black dogs Need Love Too

black_greyhound

Here at East Riding we have 12 black greyhounds all needing loving homes.  Black greyhounds are just as affectionate, just as lazy and just as beautiful as coloured greyhounds, but yet they get overlooked time and time again!  Once they have settled into a home and receive the care and attention they deserve they will repay you with boundless love and they will look stunning with their shinning coats and appealing dark eyes.  All our black greyhounds are desperate to find a lifelong home – so if you’re tempted and would like to meet some of our black greyhounds contact us today.

              TRAVELLING IN STYLE

The East Riding Branch now have new transport for the greyhounds thanks to the generosity of local business. The van was funded by Broomsticks, retailers of Pagan and esoteric products, and the ply-lining and graphics sponsored by Evans Halshaw of Hull. a special thanks to Dave Hastings pictured below. The graphichs are by Matt Vinyl Ltd and we wish to thank them for their discount and for doing such a great job. The new van [now fitted with large travel cages] has proved to be invaluable to the branch in transporting greyhounds safely to new homes and events. Our thanks go to Broomsticks for generously funding the van for the greyhounds and for their continued sponsorship and support.

Greyhounds make fantastic pets; they are loving and laid back and such great characters that you cannot fail to be smitten by them!  We welcome any enquiries about our greyhounds and would ask anyone who is thinking about getting a dog as a pet to consider a greyhound first.  Contact us via this website today or call Jay on 01482 503944

Every greyhound that we home has been or will be neutered, fully vaccinated and has had a full vet check including dental work.  The greyhounds in our care have now also been microchipped.  Every greyhound comes with a collar and lead, box muzzle, house collar with engraved disc, full homing information pack, 4 weeks free insurance, free shower proof jacket and a 15 kilo bag of food.  We do ask for a donation for the Trust.

Anyone wishing to see us is welcome to come along to any of the events listed on our news page.  We have a stall with lots of 'greyhound goodies' to buy and you can meet some of the dogs that have already been homed as well as dogs from the kennels.
